UFC 109 Update

A change has been made to the UFC 109 card. The change comes on one of the earliest fights of the night, as Mostapha Al-Turk will no longer be fighting Saturday night. Al-Turk was unable to obtain a visa to travel to Las Vegas for the fight against Rolles Gracie. His replacement will be UFC newcomer, Joey Beltran. Beltran is nicknamed the “Mexecutioner” and he will take on the biggest (in stature only) member of the famous Gracie family.

Beltran is 10-3 in his MMA career, and has won 6 of his last 7 fights including several over former UFC competitors including Huston Alexander who he knocked out quite easily. He was the 5150 Combat League Heavyweight champion prior to signing his deal with the UFC. The newcomer stands at 6’1” and weights 240 pounds, and he is a boxer who possesses great knock out power. He could be a fighter to watch in the coming months in the heavyweight division.
