After an entertaining (as long as you love the Bucks) game, The Ohio State Buckeyes move to 2-0, defeating the Miami Hurricanes by the score of 36-24. The Bucks handled their biggest competition of the early season, with ease at times and clearly showed that the defense of the Buckeyes can handle good offenses. Here are the big standout performances of the game:
Number 1: The Defense. The Buckeyes defense has only allowed 1 offensive touchdown this season, and proved how good they are with the 4 Interceptions (2 by Chekwa, 1 by Nathan Williams and 1 by Heyward) and a set of great defensive plays.
Number 2: The Buckeyes Special Teams. Standing out for all the wrong reasons, allowing 2 special teams TDs (A punt and a kickoff return), however they did do enough to make Hurricane kicker Boscher (often called one of the best kickers/punters in the NCAA) miss 2 field goals.
Number 3: Terrelle Pryor. Pryor passed 12-27 for 233 yards, 1 TD as well as rushing for 112 yards on 20 attempts and a touchdown. Apart from his great game statistically he showed through once again as a premier leader.
And finally a huge surprise stat for me, Brandon Saine 12 rushing attempts, 7 yards. BUT 3 receptions for 36 yards and an awesome TD.
