Last weeks scores ended up 11-8 in favor of Zach, putting Zach in the lead, at 21-15. But, I will be trying to right the ship this week, starting, as usual with the early games of Week 3:
Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0)
Dustin: Steelers. After forcing so many turnovers out of the Titans last week, and their defense looking so good, even going to to Batch starting and Randel El being the backup can’t hurt them enough to make them lose.
Zach: Buccaneers. Bold prediction of the week. I think the Steelers lack of a QB finally catches up with them, I think the Buc’s explosiveness scores them just enough points to get past the tough Steelers.
Cleveland Browns (0-2) @ Baltimore Ravens (1-1)
D: Ravens, even after Flacco had one of the worst showings of his career last week, we can expect a strong bounce back from the Ravens, and the now trending scoreless second half from the Browns.
Z: Ravens. In the battle of the two last place teams of the AFC North, the Browns come out 0-3 as the Ravens look to re-find their stuff and make a move back up in the standings.
Tennessee Titans (1-1) @ New York Giants (1-1)
D: Titans. Both teams suffered bad losses last week, I just count on Johnson leading his team back stronger than Eli.
Z: Titans. They both need to recover after horrible losses last week, I see this being a great game that is won by Chris Johnson.
San Francisco 49ers (0-2) @ Kansas City Chiefs (2-0)
D: 49ers. The best 0-2 team faces off against a team that at 2-0 has caught way more breaks already than any other team. The Niners will come out strong and hopefully not, in the words of Frank Gore “beat themselves”.
Z: Chiefs. They put the niners in an even deeper hole to start the season.
Dallas Cowboys (0-2) @ Houston Texans (2-0)
D: Texans. The Texans have looked good, and the Cowboys have not, it really makes it an easy call.
Z: Texans. My pick to win the AFC is looking pretty good so far.
Buffalo Bills (0-2) @ New England Patriots (1-1)
D: Patriots. Easily better than the Bills, plus home field advantage, it’s a real no brainer.
Z: Patriots. Bills have actually played better than I thought they would, but no chance here versus the high powered Patriots.
Detroit Lions (0-2) @ Minnesota Vikings (0-2)
D: Vikings. Two winless teams go in. Only one can go out. Unless they can manage a tie…
Z: VIkings. They finally get their first win, but it won’t come easily. Brett Favre should have not come back.
Cincinnati Bengals (1-1) @ Carolina Panthers (0-2)
D: Bengals. Even though the Panthers have a new starter, their results won’t change.
Z: Bengals. Jimmy Cluassen is in for a rough 1st start in the NFL against the defense that stole Joe Flacco’s manhood last Sunday.
Atlanta Falcons (1-1) @ New Orleans Saints (2-0)
D: Saints. Riding high off of a last minute win on MNF, the Saints will keep on marching at home, because you never know which Matt Ryan will show up.
Z: Saints. They should have lost Monday night, and the Falcons were impressive Sunday, but I see the Saints roll continuing.
Washington Redskins (1-1) @ St. Louis Rams (0-2)
D: Redskins. McNabb will out-duel Bradford in St. Louis to keep the Rams winless.
Z: Redskins. The ‘Skins are looking good so far, despite losing in spectacular fashion against the Texans, the Rams should be an easier foe.
Philadelphia Eagles (1-1) @ Jacksonville Jaguars (1-1)
D: Eagles. With Vick named starter, and judging by the teams previous performance, they look better, and more in control, and I see them continuing to play well against the Jags.
Z: Eagles. The Vick led offense looks impressive.
Oakland Raiders (1-1) @ Arizona Cardinals (1-1)
D: Raiders. Whether they start Gradkowski or Campbell, I still just can not pick a team that starts DA. I just can’t.
Z: Raiders. Derek Anderson strikes again, Cardinals lose.
Indianapolis Colts (1-1) @ Denver Broncos (1-1)
D: Colts. The Colts had a great performance against the G-Men, and they will carry that winning attitude to Denver. On a side note, our hearts and prayers go out to family and friends of Kenny McKinley. RIP.
Z: Colts. Petyon got his team going last week against his Brother’s squad, and that amazing offense and defense should continue for the rest of the season.
San Diego Chargers (1-1) @ Seattle Seahawks (1-1)
D: Chargers. Rivers should be able to rip up this Seahawks secondary for a big day.
Z: Chargers. I think the Seahawks will give them a run for their money, but Chargers win by a TD.
New York Jets (1-1) @ Miami Dolphins (2-0)
D: Dolphins. The Jets haven’t looked as good as promised despite a solid win against the Pats, and the ‘Phins are looking better than ever with Brandon Marshall in the team.
Z: Dolphins. They could be the best team in the division.
Green Bay Packers (2-0) @ Chicago Bears (2-0)
D: Packers. The Pack have looked so good, while the Bears, despite their perfect start, pose no real threat to the Packers this week.
Z: Packers, my pick to win it all this year, are looking good through the first 2 weeks.
